These nest boxes are made out of white PVC tubing with wood chips in the bottom of the tube. I have tubes that are plain white and others that have dark green streaks painted on them to mimic the pattern on trembling aspen. 

 

The theory behind these tubes is they are a more natural structure on the inside.
