This bird box is designed for mountain bluebirds but can also be used by tree swallows and other small cavity nesters. The box is made out of pine and uses a 1-9/16" entrance hole. This box has an approximately 8" wide front and 6" wide sides. It is larger than the regular tree swallow/bluebird boxes because some people prefer a little larger bird boxes for bluebirds.
